post apocalyptic zombies trailer news scifi Director Nick Lyon has passed us the trailer to his new film, Zombie Apocalypse. Yes he made the film for The Asylum, but his skill with small budgets and interest in getting good performance has clearly given this outing something that's a cut above the mockbuster studio's usual fair.
That's not to say Zombie Apocalypse isn't being produced to satisfy a market. It premieres on Syfy on October 29, only a week after The Walking Dead returns. But hey, there's always room for more zombies on my tv.
Synopsis:
ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE is an action packed adventure about a band of humans trying to survive a post-apocalyptic world full of flesh-hungry zombies. Months after a zombie plague has wiped out 90 percent of the American population, a small group of survivors fight their way cross-country to a rumored refuge on the island of Catalina.
Check out the trailer below.
Nick Lyon's last outing for Syfy was Annihilation Earth starring Luck Goss.
Zombie Apocalypse stars Ving Rhames, Taryn Manning, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Johnny Pacar, Gary Weeks, Robert Blanche and Eddie Steeples and is directed by Nick Lyon and written by .

What is it with Ving Rhames and zombie movies. This is like his third or fourth

I think this looks good for an Asylum production, especially when compared with their upcoming 11/11/11. 111/11/11 is another knock-off; oh brother.

Ving Rhames made one good Zombie film DAWN of the DEAD 2004 and since then he is trying to make one more good one but unfortunately he is not succeeding, I guess he will keep trying.

I concure michael Allen, from that quick trailor it does look quite solid. As for Dawn 04 the movie has a $hit load of haters especially with Romero fan boys. I actually think its one of the best Zombir films sense Romero's day.

Looks interesting. I would agree the 2004 Dawn of the Dead was an excellent zombie movie something about fast zombies that is just scary as hell. "The Dead" is a pretty good slow zombie movie if you guys are looking for one. I'll check this out for sure though.

Just watched the dead the other day William and I thought it was fantastic I was really impressed with it. Its buy far one of the best Zombie movies not only this year, its one of the best I have watched in a few years actually sense dawn 04, With the Dead and Rambock its been quite a solid year all around more Zombie flicks. I hope Re Kill is in the same boat. I am looking quite foward to that movie as well

what's up with all those blacks in zombie movies? is that a contractual obligation to cast them or something? so much potential in those zombie films but the casting is just worthless.
