Phase 7 - is a Spanish PA satire that was a hit with rochefort at SXSW this year who called it "a savvy blend of [rec] and J.G. Ballard's "High Rise." That's some high praise to be sure. This is on the must-see list this week.

Amer - This domestic release of one of the smartest, wildest neo-giallo's to come along is a long-time coming. Rick McGrath raved about it in his review from SXSW 2010. I got to see it, but on a crummy screener, so I can't wait to see it in 1080.

The Walking Dead: Special Edition - In line with the premiere of Walking Dead's second season on AMC we've got this double dip of the zombie show's first season. Taking the form of a "Collector's Edition," each set contains all six episodes of the first season and NEW behind-the-scenes featurettes, audio commentaries, extra footage and even the fan-requested black and white version of the pilot episode. Seeing as that is similar to The Mist collector's this set, in my mind, is for Darabont fans first, and fans of the show second. And as such, I'll definitely be picking this up.

The Presence - is a ghost story that goes for atmosphere. Starring Mira Sorvino and Shane West, this dark, romantic ghost story is about a woman who travels to an isolated cabin where she is stalked by an apparition who inhabits her space as his own.

Submarine - is the quirky British coming-of-ager that tore up the festival circuit this year, garnering a ton of positive buzz. Based on a book, it comes from Richard Ayoade from The I.T. Crowd and one of my favourite cult spoof shows, Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.
