The official, full length trailer for French director Xavier Gens' post-apocalyptic shocker The Divide has finally landed and it looks as stellar as we anticipated. To say this one looks intense is definitely an understatement.
The Divide was picked up by Anchor Bay right after the film played at SXSW this year. Rochefort loved it and actually you'll see a quote from his review in the trailer below.
Synopsis:
When a cataclysmic explosion devastates New York, eight strangers take refuge in the basement of their apartment building, a converted fallout shelter designed by their paranoid superintendent Mickey. With just three connecting rooms it’s barely big enough, but with stockpiles of food and water, the group are at least safe from the horrors outside, and they settle in and attempt to fathom the catastrophe that has ended the lives of so many of their loved ones. As tension mounts their sanctuary becomes a living hell.
With twists and turns throughout, and no way of knowing who will make it out alive, The Fallout is an action packed psychological thriller that combines Assault on Precinct 13 with Lord of the Flies. To survive the end of the world, you first must survive each other...
The ensemble cast is lead by Michael Biehn and Milo Ventimiglia and includes Lauren German, Michael Eklund, Rosanna Arquette and Ashton Holmes.

You know I've heard a lot of bad things about this film on other sites but the trailer looks pretty good. Must be one of those love it or hate it affairs.

This looks good. It kind of brings to mind The Hole starring Thora Birch. It would be refreshing to see a stroy where people come together in the face of adversity rather than become savages but this sure doesn't look like it.

It's not perfect. It has some overacting going on but it's dark and gritty and in some weird way I liked it a lot.

I am reading and hearing a hell of alot of mixed reactions on the ending of the movie ? it seems about split on you eather really hatere it or love it. also a few gripes were brought up about the direction the movie goes in when it hits the middle. all in all I can't wait to see and see for myself.

Umm... How many major western cities have air raid sirens now days?

Speedy ... you're just being picky now. This flick is great and I can forgive something like that.

@Speedy All of Swedens cities still have them and they always go off the first monday of each month at 3pm, like clockwork. Some places has reduced it to the first monday of every quarter at 3pm. I'm sure the rest of the west have them, just that they don't run them anymore.
Besides trailer looks nice.

The movie was terrible, call me a hater, call it what you want, it was flat out terrible, this trailer is better than the actual film.
