Here's a strange one for you. Room 237 is an "experimental" new documentary that will premier at Sundance. It's about all the theories surrounding hidden messages and meanings in Stanley Kubrick's adaptation of Stephen King's The Shining.

Synopsis:
ROOM 237 is a subjective documentary feature which explores numerous theories about Stanley Kubrick’s “The Shining” and its hidden meanings. This guided tour through the most compelling attempts to decode this endlessly fascinating film will draw the audience into a new maze, one with endless detours and dead ends, many ways in, but no way out. Discover why many have been trapped in the Overlook for 30 years.

Now maybe this is on me for not doing my homework, but I didn't realize there were people out there pondering hidden meanings in The Shining. Like most of you I'm sure, I've seen the classic horror film too many times to count and while I find it difficult at times and ambiguous in the end I never pegged it for subliminal.

Room 237 is directed by Rodney Ascher

By the way, that poster is designed by this guy called Carlos Ramos and he's done a lots of other work inspired by Kubrick.

I also had no idea of hidden meanings in the Shining, until I saw youtube videos by Rob Ager. There seems to be a lot of subliminal stuff in there. I can highly recommend Agers stuff, its also for free
