Here we have the first official image of actors Jeremy Renner And Gemma Artertonfrom in Tommy Wirkola's Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters. I pretty much summed the story up in the headline: the famous brother and sister of Grimm's foltale have grown up to be come cold blooded murderers of old hags who eat kids.
According to Gemma Arterton in this interview with EW, the tone is tongue-in-cheek, and has a a "Tarantino feel".
Long-time Quiet Earthers will remember Wirkola as the director of Norwegian Nazi zombie flick Dead Snow. The zomedy was hit with mixed marked around these parts, but this looks fairly fun... as long as it's a bit better than Gilliam's The Brothers Grimm.
The film is set to open March 2nd, 2012, so stay tuned for a trailer coming this month.
