The post apocalyptic and incredible short Rosa hit the web a few weeks back with a big splash. Shortly thereafter, Spanish comic artist Jesus Orellana who created the short over a years time, was pitching it to studios. And now, 20th Century Fox is in final negotiations for a live action version directed by Orellana himself. In case you missed it, watch it below!
ROSA is an epic sci-fi short film that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where all natural life has disappeared. From the destruction awakes Rosa, a cyborg deployed from the Kernel project, mankind’s last attempt to restore the earth’s ecosystem. Rosa will soon learn that she is not the only entity that has awakened and must fight for her survival.

Wow! Accomplished stuff! And a great blocking call by Fox against somebody else's Windup Girl series as a stand alone. The real catch would be having Orellna available for any tween/Twilight thing you have in the cue.
