Some pretty awesome news coming out of Japan land. It seems Tetsuya Nakashima, director of Kamikaze Girls, and the critically acclaimed Confessions (Japan's Oscar entry) is prepping a live action adaptation of popular scifi manga "Attack on Titan" (Shingeki no Kyojin).

The film is said to include a massive amount of CGI and be the most expensive film ever produced in Japan. Crazy.

Synopsis:
The story centers on the life of Eren Jaeger and his adoptive sister Mikasa Ackerman, whose lives are changed forever after a colossal titan brings about the destruction of their home and the death of their mother.

Kodanshu, Licri, and Nikkatsu are all producing companies and the big boys at Toho (Godzilla) will distribute.

The entire Manga is available to read for free here.
