Afro Samurai creator Takashi Okazaki is designing characters for the MMORPG Izanagi Online which is set to be released sometime in 2012. You'll be able to jump between rooftops and run on water in a dark fantasy world. I'm thinking something like Samurai II: Vengeance except really badass. The only problem is the source Japanese article states the game is for iphones, however the games website specifically says "smartphones". I don't see how they could ignore the Android market considering (depending on your source) it's share is much larger. Now I'm not a gamer, but I do bust out Dragon's Lair on my Android every now and then, and I have to say, I'm excited. Check out a short game description followed by some concept art below.

Izanagi Online's story takes place in a dark fantasy world overrun with evil people and monsters. Players will jump from rooftop to rooftop, run on water, and perform other ninjutsu techniques throughout the game. Users' choices will affect the characters' development, and a variety of items will also impact the game's outcome. Players' duties will include guarding people, battling goblins, transporting goods, and other tasks.


Now when are we going to get that live action Afro Samurai movie we've been promised?

And will someone make Perplexus for Android already?
