agentorange [Celluloid 01.11.12] zombies horror

It's odd for Bollywood to be slow on the uptake like this, but India will be getting their first zombie features in a triptych of films about the undead.

I don't know much about Indian movies, but rising star Luke Kenny, who was seen last in Farhan Akhtar's Rock On!!, announced his second directorial excursion will be Zombie and says he has planned two sequels even before the release of the movie.

"I am confident about the story. It is a story which has to be said in three parts. It has all the potential of a trilogy," Kenny told reporters. He went on to assure that the film will neither be a Zombie comedy nor a Zombie survival series, but "the journey of transformation and origin of Zombie genre."

"The film is a Zombie origin film. Indian audience will empathize with the journey of a human being as he is faced with a seemingly insurmountable predicament."

Besides "Zombie" India is also producing zombie films called GO, GOA GONE and ROCK THE SHAADI. It goes without saying, that we're excited to see the Bollywood take on the zombie genre.
