If you've seen some of Nick Cross's work like The Pig Farmer or The Waif of Persephone, you wouldn't immediately think his style would translate to an insane dystopian nightmare. You'd be wrong.

The award winning animator has been working on a project called Black Sunrise for a couple years now and slowly, but surely, he's plowing ahead. He says he's got ten minutes of the story complete so far... of course, we don't know how long the whole thing is supposed to be, so we might be waiting for a while yet.

You'll find the first two trailers for the project after the amazing still from the film below.

Prepare to be impressed!




Sorry we don't know more about the story at this point and unfortunately you won't be able to piece it together from the array of seemingly disparate images in these trailer, but your imaginations can probably fill in the blanks.
