Contagion - If you thought swine flu was scary, wait until you see what bat flu can do. If called Steven Soderbergh's Contagion Traffic but about a pandemic you wouldn't be far off. The approach is the same, but this film isn't nearly as compelling. Having said that, Contagion provides an interesting (if surface level) look at what could happen in the wake of a real viral outbreak. Worth a look.

Shark Night - We seem to be getting a slew of shark movies these days, and yet non has really caused any kind of widespread sharkdemonium. Shark Night was the only one to get a wide theatrical release and unfortunately I don't think it ignited the spark either. You know already if this one's for you I think.

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark - The original made-for-TV movie is considered a cult classic, but frankly I don't get why. The atmosphere is there, but it makes little sense. I missed this in the theatre, but it'll be interesting to see if Guillermo Del Toro's hands were able to mold the blob of clay that is the original into something resembling a horror movie.

Don't Let Him In - This British horror film was so well received by Hal that I have to see it. Indie, but inspired by old school Hammer films and We Craven's The Hills Have Eyes this one looks to be a must catch.

The Guard - Brendan Gleeson (28 Days Later) and Don Cheadle in this hilarious send up of the buddy cop movie. DO check it out.
