Drive - I know you're gonna be tempted by that release of Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon, but look away! Look away and pick up Drive instead or else Ryan Gosling will drive over to your house and bash you with a hammer. I included Drive on my list of favourite films of 2011.

The Thing - Supposedly a prequel, Ron Moore's confusingly titled "The Thing" plays out a like a remake. A great cast in Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Joel Edgerton however.

In Time - is a half baked attempt at a Philip K. Dick movie. Full of logic problems and apparently filmed in back alleys to save money, this one wants to be sexy but comes off as lazy. The concept is good, but it'll leave you wanting after the first act.

Dead Hooker in a Trunk - premiers from IFC this week. Projectcyclops raved about this one from the Soska sisters so I gotta check it out.

Spiderhole - also from IFC this week looks like a promising little indie horror flick about squatters who get ripped to shreds. Think this one's on Netflix actually so I'll have to queue it up.

Blubberella - a "comedy" from Uwe Boll. That is all.
