Having it's world premier at IFFR 2012 is Davide Manuli's post-modern western La leggenda di Kaspar Hause which stars one of my personal favorites: Vincent Gallo. To boot, it has UFO's!
For those unfamiliar with Manuli, he directed the incredible "existentiabsurdist" flick Beket which we covered a few years ago, and this is his first feature since. While details are scarce as every synopsis I found is different, a poor google translation says In Sardinia, without time or place.." and goes on to talk about the island where only five people live. Whether this is based on Werner Herzog's The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser or Kaspar Hauser himself, a German who claimed to to have grown up in isolation, is unclear, but the teaser looks bloody incredible.
