Described as a hybrid of a slasher film and a creature feature twist in the vein of HP Lovecraft, III is slated for part of the 3d movement craze but will also get a 2-D version as well. Currently filming in South Carolina, the film promises a visual style in the vein of the late 70s and 80s but with strong female leads. Based on this teaser alone, I'm in love.
I love the music on this. It starts with a tune banged on a My First Organ from Fischer Price then segues into some modernist-retro-70s-cop-show.
The film is directed by Trey Howell who also produces besides Braxton Williams who wrote the screenplay. To boot, there's a long list of people (mostly students), some producers, some actors, from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Trident Technical College, Charleston School of the Arts, and the Art Institute of Charleston.
