Cormac McCarthy fans may be interested to know that the famous and Pulitzer Prize winning novelist has moved into writing movies and has just inked a deal which sees his first spec sold to Nick Wechsler, Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz, the producing trio behind the adaptation of The Road.

The script is called The Counselor which Deadline reports it is "about a respected lawyer who thinks he can dip a toe in to the drug business without getting sucked down. It is a bad decision and he tries his best to survive it and get out of a desperate situation."

They say it's reminiscent of No Country for Old Men, but I can't help but link it to Breaking Bad, the uber popular show about a (not so) respected highschool teacher who gets into the meth biz.

Either way it sounds interesting to us.
