The term "empathy" comes to mind while going over the synopses which reads as combination of metaphorical hara-kiri and the rehabilitation of the soul via artificial intelligence. This Korean omnibus (initially set to include another story which got cancelled due to financing) comprises 3 stories, two of which reportedly have androids while the other is about a zombie. Unfortunately not many details have come out and no release date has been set. Kim Jee-Woon (I Saw the Devil) and Yim Pil-Sung (Hansel & Gretel) are behind this enigma which looks utterly incredible and I can't wait for a trailer.

Two acclaimed Korean directors unfurl three unique stories of human self-destruction in the modern high-tech era. In a hope to restore the humane compassion in the insusceptible modern age, the film displays an alternative form of genuine humanity. And thus you are stepping into the world of future, where a series of unexpected stories awaits you. All these stories originate from the earth. From the very earth you live on.

The following story lines from AsianMediaWiki.
Creation of Heaven ("Chunsangui Pijomul") - A robot, which works at a temple, finds enlightenment. A robot repair man named Park Do-Won (Kim Kang-Woo) and a Bodhisattva Hye-Joo (Kim Gyu-Ri) then try to protect the robot from the robot company.

Wonderful New World ("Mutjin Sinsegye") - A pure young man (Ryoo Seung-Bum) turns into a zombie.

Happy Birthday - A smart man (Song Sae-Byeok), who graduated from KAIST, begins to live with a robot.

Why not let them look like the ones from "i,robot"? To me those movie robots come closest to what we could expect in the future.
