After weeks of incredibly boring news and speculation comprised of pictures of Charlize Theron's hairless dome, we finally have photographic proof via Abbey Lee's tumblr that the shoot is underway in Nambia. Amazingly, Mel Gibson is nowhere in sight. Again, George Miller (who did the originals) is directing this reimaging which has been updated by 30 years. And yes, Tom Hardy (Bronson, The Dark Knight Rises) is Mad Max himself. The film also stars Riley Keough, Nicholas Hoult, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Zoe Kravitz.

'Nuf said.

No Falcon Coupe and not made in Australia... Sad. Really would have liked to se Mel have a part in this as well.

Even without Gibson or the vistas of Australia, the fact that George Miller is back at the helm of a Mad Max film makes it a must see (after his friend Byron Kennedy died scouting locations he lost interest and only directed the action sequences for Beyond Thunderdome, leaving George Ogilvie to direct the rest.)
