TIFF is always a monster of a festival and around these parts, we tend to get excited over the Midnight Madness but the first round of titles have been announced, care of Variety who leaked the list early, and there are a handful of titles worth note, including the fact that this year's festival is opening with Rian Johnson's time travel actioner Looper (trailer).
The first list of titles includes quite a few other notable entries including The Wachowskis & Tom Tykwer's Cloud Atlas (details), Neil Jordan's vampire drama Byzantium (details), JA Bayona's (of The Orphanage fame) English language debut The Impossible,
Baltasar Kormakur's new Icelandic drama The Deep, Thomas Vintenberg's The Hunt, Takeshi Kitano's Outrage Beyond, Orlando director Sally Potter's Ginger and Rosa as well as Terrence Malick's new offering.
