Back in 2010 we brought you the teaser for this incredible little short film about an insect searching for a mate. Since then, it's had a successful fest run and we're excited to show you the full short which is only available for a limited time. So watch it now!

Through the course of a day in a city inhabited by insects, we see a violent and symbiotic caste system emerge, as our protagonist tries to make his way to his mate before nightfall, and the invasion of the army ants.

I am not exactly sure I understand what was going on but I loved it. The beetles crawling around the ruined? city was weird and cheerfully insane. The soundtrack of chittering and whispering is something that needs to be done more often.

Very retro look and sound. Nice to see it done old school with real insects and minatures instead of all CGI. Excellent camera work.
