In brief: Fox is serious about a Prometheus sequel and are "actively pushing ahead with a follow-up." It is hoped that a sequel to Ridley Scott's polarizing Alien prequel, can be released as early as 2014 or as late as 2015.

Writer Damon Lindelof will likely not return due to his many recently announced TV commitments. New writers are being approached.

as a fan of Alien and one who has wondered about the "Space Jockey" ever since, I was more than plesased with Prometheus...fans like it , others dont....whatever...however, a sequel in keeping with the same intensity & quality would require that Ridley remain at the helm...jmo...

I'm a fan, of both the Alien franchise and Ridley Scott, but I think Prometheus was a terrible movie, as agentorange is aware, but I still have high hopes for a sequel as Lindelof will not be involved.
