zombies horror comedy adventure 
Lazarillo Z updates the anonymously written 1554 Spanish novella Lazarillo de Tormes and turns it into an adventury zombedy. The story involves a smart "picaro" who goes through a succession of masters, and in this quasi-adaptation, the young "rascal" looks for salvation from the zombie-like "rabids." Only this promo teaser has been shot, but it looks incredible and the "rabids" are spot on.. except for the CGI blood.
Following the perils of Tom Sawyer's Spanish Great-grandfather: LAZARO as he travels the Castillian Kingdom looking for Salvation against the hordes of zombie-like rabbids. The story turns the Spanish beloved literature classic, El LAZARILLO DE TORMES, into a zombie adventure/comedy.

Reminds me of how gleeful the locals were to kill all the zombies in Romero's Night of the Living Dead. It's also nice to see someone dwell on how easy it is to outrun stumbler zombies, a la Shaun of the Dead. Even though I don't speak Spanish, it looks pretty funny. It also has great makeup effects, but I agree with quietearth, lose the CGI blood splatter.
