Marina Antunes [Celluloid 09.17.13] Argentina post apocalyptic

If anyone of us is still alive after the apocalypse hits, it's safe to assume that life isn't going to be sunshine and flowers and all things good and sweet. Not only will survival be difficult but our day to day relationships will be tested more severely than usual. It seems the testing of relationships is at the core of Christoph Behl's The Desert.

Taking place after a cataclysmic event that has totalled most of the landscape, The Desert unfolds as three individuals share a home and complicated relationships and how their quiet, somewhat normal new way of life is disrupted when, while out on a scavenger mission, the two men bring home a very special treat.

I love this trailer which doesn't really show us the outside world and suggests the entire movie is contained to the limited confines of the house the trio share though everywhere there are hints of the outside world. It looks mighty promising.
