From June 22 to September 14, 2014, the EYE Film Institute in Amsterdam is hosting "David Cronenberg - The Exhibition," a travelling exhibit which includes Cronenberg's complete filmography along with a new short film commissioned specifically for the exhibit.

The Nest stars "Orphan Black" co-star Evelyne Brochu as a woman with psychological problems who is looking to have a mastectomy because she believes there's something living under her breast. I can't be sure since there are no credits but I have a feeling that Cronenberg is stepping in as the doctor.

For a short heavy on dialog and light on action, it's a creepy bit of work which is well in the wheelhouse of Cronenberg's central themes over the years. It really works because of Brochu's performance and while a minor entry into the ouvre of Cronenberg, it's one well worth seeing.

The EYE Film Institute and the International Film Festival Rotterdam are making the short available online for the run of the exhibition so be sure to check it out before it's taken down on September 14.

This is just too freaking weird. I have to hand it to Evelyne not every actress would be willing to sit topless for over nine minutes. She does have nice boobs.
