Fench director Xavier Gens is currently shooting The Crucifixion, a supernatural thriller written by Chad Hayes whose past credits include The Conjuring, House of Wax and Whiteout among others. The film is being produced by Peter Safran whose credits include some pretty stellar thrillers like Buried and the upcoming Martyrs remake.

The Crucifixion sounds intriguing in its story. Rather than a straight forward story of exorcism, it seems to revolve around a journalist and a priest who is facing murder charges in the wake of an exorcism gone wrong.

We've got the first look at the film including some stunning photography as well as a test shot of a terrifying figure that's being refereed to on set as the "Faceless man".

Synopsis:
When a priest is jailed for the murder of a nun on whom he was performing an exorcism, an investigative journalist strives to determine whether he in fact murdered a mentally ill person, or if he actually lost the battle with a demonic presence.

As the film is currently shooting in Romania, there's no sense of when we'll see it, but we'll keep you posted, Folks!
