Anders Johannes Bukh's Encounters is being billed as the first ever Danish found footage horror film, but the truth is it could end up being one of the best yet. The story, which might on the surface seem cliched, follows a crew of Danish filmmakers as they embark into the Swedish woods to make a low budget horror film, also called Encounters.

The twist? The film is already being heavily buzzed (it "scared the shit" out of VICE) and could end up being the international horror film to watch out for in 2016.

The first official trailer for Encounters just dropped and it's very impressive. In fact, whether you like found footage films or not, by the end of this trailer I predict you'll admit Encounters looks effective.

Encounters does not currently have any domestic distribution set up, but I expect it'll hit fests in 2016. In the meantime, we've got a trailer and a clip to satisfy.

Just ignore the anonymous style stuff at the beginning which sets up the "why" and "where" of the scenerio in motion and stick it out to the end.
