AMC's hit zombie series, The Walking Dead, returns in October for its seventh season! The series will pick up where it left audiences with a massive and controversial cliffhanger featuring new character Negan (portrayed by Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and what he did with his lady friend, Lucille.

Do we all agree that after something of a slump, this show had an incredible sixth season?

Synopsis:
Sheriff Deputy Rick Grimes leads a group of survivors in a world overrun by the walking dead. Fighting the dead, fearing the living.

The series returns on Sunday, October 23rd, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Recommended Release: The Walking Dead (season 6)

Season 6 was the best because it serves as an entire text book of what not to do when surviving the Apocalypse. Everything that could be done to screw the pooch, they all did willingly and repeatedly. Pick something you and I would most certainly NOT do, and they all did it. It's not hindsight, it's not on second thought, it's not due to specialized training; people who want to survive a shit storm don't cross empty fields in full view of anyone and everyone who might be watching. Or talk loudly indoors or outdoors. Or go in guns blazing and swords flying and arrows zooming without taking hours or days or even weeks to properly ascertain your target's strengths and weaknesses. Or not set up outlying observation posts around Alexandria to watch for bandits and scouts from hostile parties. Etc, ad nauseum.

Rick's ego was out of control last season and he paid the price. I think his hubris was telegraphed quite clearly.

Never read the TWD graphic novels/comic books, but I am aware of what goes on in them, and now that we're at the stage where the guy with the tiger shows up, I think this show has officially jumped the shark.
