John Connor [Celluloid 04.18.17] scifi action adventure

Rian Johnson (Looper) directs the follow-up to J.J. Abrams' franchise re-starter, The Force Awakens. We liked the Force Awakens enough, but all agreed with Marina that it played it safe, hewing a bit to closely to the originally trilogy's tropes to ensure everyone had something to enjoy.

Many fans who came away feeling the same way all seem to have the same expectation that Johnson will take the Star Wars story into all new, unexpected places. We'll see.

Synopsis:
The further adventures of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Leia (Carrie Fisher) and Rey (Daisy Ridley).

Since the trailer has for The Last Jedi dropped, there have been a few revelations, the biggest being that Carrie Fisher will not be making an appearance in the film. Too bad. What a nice opportunity to have her final moments not be represented by a CGI ghoul.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theatres December 15, 2017.

Recommended Release: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Carrie Fisher is definitely in The Last Jedi, she finished filming her scenes before she passed on. The producers are saying she won't be in the trilogy-finisher that comes -after- TLJ.
