While we eagerly anticipate Panos Cosmatos' Mandy which, since its premiere at Sundance, has been labelled the unequivocal "mad" Nicolas Cage performance, we've got a first look at one of Cage's most recent projects Looking Glass.

Directed by Tim Hunter of River's Edge fame, recently he's been spending a lot of time in the TV world, Looking Glass stars Cage and Robin Tunney as Ray and Maggie, a couple who buy a desert motel. While exploring the new digs, Ray discovers that the motel has a secret passage that allows him a full view of the events taking place inside the rooms via two-way mirrors. When a woman he saw in the motel goes missing, Ray becomes embroiled in what appears to be a murder.

I kind of love that Cage has become the master of crazy performances and though this one seems a bit more toned down than usual, it's still looking like solid Cage.

Looking Glass will open theatrically and be available on VOD and digital HD on February 16.

Cage is in everything lately. He must have a secret twin brother.

The trailer for Looking Glass is decent. I will have to put it on my list of "Must-see."
