Bret Easton Ellis, author of American Psycho and Lunar Park, will release his masterful new novel "The Shards" in January.

It is a story about the end of innocence, and the perilous passage from adolescence into adulthood, set in a vibrantly fictionalized Los Angeles in 1981 as a serial killer begins targeting teenagers throughout the city.

I don't think reprinting the press release verbatim is a good idea, particularly when it describes something you haven't read as "masterful".
