Our friend and writer/director Jens Wolf sent me another picture this morning (well morning for me anyways) of his current redux of the great zombie flick from 2003, Noctem. If you haven't seen this then.. well, good luck finding it, it's rare. Jens is into a 6 month track and I am highly looking forward to see how this ends up. One thing he might be going for this time around is English dubs, but I'm not 100% sure, regardless, the dialogue is awesome. Yes, this is post apocalyptic, and here's a brief synopsis.

"Kusey and Amy, two lonely civilians try to survive in a world populated by zombies. They try to find a group of Rednecks to be safe, but the undead are everywhere. Together with Redneck Mike, they barricade themselves in an old house to fight the undead...but they didn't reckon with the apocalypse."

i can't say i like the prettification of the original (i haven't seen the original, im just commenting on this image). seems zombie films should be a bit harsh (tho i understand a filmmaker's desire to make his standard-def project look better).

and he might want to showcase an image where he hasn't roto'd off the guys shoulder!

I'd have to disagree with Christopher's prettification comment. I think the sky in the second image actually does the opposite and suggests a sense of foreboding and unease. The very nature of the world in Noctem has essentially fallen into chaos so clouds work as nice visual cue.

But yeah, rotoscoping people's arms off... not good.
