Well there's been news of a few remakes and releases lately so instead of breaking them down into single post I thought I'd lump em all together, and I know Ulises will watch every single trailer we have here. First off let's start with the remake of the Thai film Shutter which bears the same name. "A newly married couple discovers disturbing, ghostly images in photographs they develop after a tragic accident. Fearing the manifestations may be connected, they investigate and learn that some mysteries are better left unsolved." This is getting a release on March 21st here in the States. Trailer following as well as 3 other films.

Next off we Body #19, another Thai film which is getting its theatrical release there this month. Hopefully shortly thereafter we'll get an English-friendly DVD. "Chon is suffering from nightmares. He tries not to sleep because he's scared of a girl that he sees each night in his dreams. In the dreams, the girl screams for help before she is cruelly killed. Ae, Chon's sister is worried about the illusion that Chon sees in his dreams, so she introduces him to a psychiatrist. Chon tries to prove that what he sees is not just the illusion. Finally, Chon is right when some clues in his nightmares lead him to a morgue number 19. And now, the story of the dead body inside the morgue is gradually revealed."

Third is The Slit Mouthed Woman 2 out of Japan which is also due for a theatrical release there shortly. This is actually a prequel to the first. Sorry, no synopsis.

Lastly, Karaoke Terror is finally getting an R1 release. It looks like a straight up cult classic about warring Karaoke gangs and it kind of reminds me of Clockwork Orange. "One of a gang of karaoke loving middle aged women is murdered by a young man. Her friends track him down and kill him. His friends track them down and kill the killer ..... and it escalates!"
