Finally we have some good dvds dropping today, including some cult favorites. First off is the soon to be remade Swedish vampire flick Let The Right One In which everyone seems to love but me, whatever. Next off I'm throwing in a comedy for good measure to wipe that foul taste out so let's pick Role Models which was actually quite funny. Then we have another Jason Statham vehicle, Transporter 3. Getting sick of those yet? Then we have the Aleister Crowley reincarnation film Crowley which was formerly titled Chemical Wedding (review here). Then we have a Belgian film called Ben X about bullying and revenge which was popular on the fest circuit, I still need to watch this one. Next off, cult fans will recognize Harold and Maude which is getting a widescreen DVD release! Lastly is Kôji Kawano tasty J-horror Cruel Restaraunt.

When Harold meets the anarchist seventy-nine-year-old Maude at a funeral, they become friends and the old lady discloses other perspectives of the cycle of life for him. Meanwhile, his mother enlists him in a dating service and tries to force Harold to join the army. On the day of Maude's eightieth birthday, Harold proposes to her but he finds the truth about life at the end of hers.

Only men are amazed with the pot stickers of the Togen Restaurant. There is an eerie rumor that those who try to find the secret recipe of its pot stickers disappear near the restaurant. Police investigate, but there's no smoking gun with its owner, Lin (Mihiro). Various people come out of curiosity and get involved in horrendous murders. Finally, the truth about the Togen's pot stickers, called 'the extreme taste', is revealed.

Ben X is the one of the worst films I've ever seen. Whatever you think about this film based on the synopsis - it's completely wrong.
The movie is emotionally manipulative and painfully embarrassing to watch. It's all just religious preaching about Christian morality. And the "revenge" mentioned in the synopsis is so stupid you will be shocked - the revenge is... are you ready? Is by making bullies feel shame!!!! No violence, no cold revenge satisfaction as you may think, he just makes them feel shame about what they did, ohhhhh... And it happens in the church! You are not going to believe your eyes!
Entire film you just wait for something interesting to happen, bit nothing is. Only bunch of very manipulative scenes, when the bullies humiliate the hero, and when you watch it you feel like someone is pulling your teeth off.
This is truly embarrassing movie about how you need to turn another cheek, and that bullies will eventually realize how wrong they were and they will feel a shame about what they did, it's like educational video about tolerance for complete degenerates, it's not a cinematic story.

If I can prevent people from watching this garbage I would. Just skip it, you will be better without it.
The movie is very painful experience, and not of the good kind. DON'T WATCH IT!!!!
You've been warned, and if you still interested and going to watch it anyway just for curiosity - you are going to be sorry later.

The Transporter movies are dumb and fun and for a good time I don't mind them. But for god's sake Statham keep your shirt on!
