We just got word that Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) has signed on to star in an adaptation of Martin Amis' eponymous novel Money which will be a 2-part mini series on BBC2. Directed by Jeremy Lovering, this little diddy goes into production in November. Nick just recently finished shooting Paul which he co-wrote with Simon Pegg.

What interests me about this project you ask? You mean besides the drunken slobbery and certain abrasive nature of our protagonist? Nothing really. Give me Charles Bukowski, with or without class, and I'm in.

From Wikipedia:
Money tells the story of, and is narrated by, John Self, a successful director of commercials who is invited to New York by Fielding Goodney, a film producer, in order to shoot his first film. Self is an archetypal hedonist and slob; he is usually drunk, an avid consumer of pornography and prostitutes, eats too much and, above all, spends too much, encouraged by Goodney.

This is going to be shite. Why? The BBC. They don't have the balls to do a book like this justice. It'll be watered down tripe.

I don't think you're using the word "eponymous" correctly.
