Christopher Webster [Film Festival 01.21.10] movie trailer news thriller



Very much looking forward to the claustrophobic terror of Buried, a new thriller that takes place entirely in a coffin. Its only star? Ryan Reynolds, whose career seems to be really taking off and is really hard to pin down. I kind of like that about him.

Synopsis:
Paul is a U.S. contractor working in Iraq. After an attack by a group of Iraqis he wakes to find he is buried alive inside a coffin. With only a lighter and a cell phone it's a race against time to escape this claustrophobic death trap.

I like Reynolds but en entire movie with just him in a coffin? Yacking on a cell? It'll be pretty hard to sustain my interest for that long...

I hear you, but that's what's got me hooked. Will it be entertaining? Suspenseful? or just drawn out? Either way, I'm looking forward to finding out.

Let's see he has:
a cellphone,
flashlight,
lighter,
paper,
cozy coffin ( he can even turn),
"plenty of air" he even lights a lighter to spend even more air, if he is buried at all.
There is even a pipe left inside.
Talk about low budged, and stupidity.

How stupid do the Americans think the kidnappers are.
