I'm speechless. Not really sure what to make of this. Is it possible that Boll has made another good film? It certainly looks the part but wow, I'm just not sure.

as a german, believe me, youve got a hell of a lot more to be ashamed about than one dude who got off his ass and made himself a millionaire.

Yeah, he's just trying to be edgy. He got attention on Postal for the "offensive" 9/11 comedy, and now he thinks he can get more by being offensive here. They add the "never forget" line so people who are rightfully offended feel bad about it.

If you can't get good attention/publicity by making good films, get bad attention/publicity by making offensive films.

As a german of 25 years I have nothing to be ashamed of. That is some utter bullshit.

It's funny how people are into torture porn avidly written up on this site, and never protest it, but give the porn some historical context--Nazis torturing and killing Jews--and suddenly it's "offensive."

That's weird.

I think Uwe Boll got exactly what he wanted--reaction and debate.

I like how it presented the unvarnished truth about what happened to people in Auschwitz. Made me want to puke. It also made me revile Nazis even more than I already do, as well all the other idiots who promote hate-based politics.

I have a feeling this is not one of those Jewish holocaust movies that is gonna be loved by the Jewish community.

This is almost genius. Mayve Boll reflects all the hatred thrown upon him in reality onto Nazis in this film by putting himself sleeping there.

One any German who did not take part in the War or the camps in my opinion has nothing to be ashamed of. I think all this sins of the father crap is just nonsense. Two any filmmaker who tried to portray the Holocaust anything like gritty realism is going to be accused of sensationalism or shooting for “Shock”. Gassing human beings in a sealed room is shocking so burning their bodies, so is extracting thier teeth for gold. The Nazi’s did all this and worse on a daily basis, the trouble is people still can’t get their minds around the horror. I don’t know this filmmaker I’m not much into foreign films (mainly Asian Horror) but I applaud this guy for at least having to guts as a German to take this subject on in all it’s banal horror.

let's not forget that germans also produced the largest, armed anti-fascist militia the world has ever known. read a book you fucking cunts, germans didn't make the holocaust - the fucking nazis did. conflating the two is vulgar.

How many more movies depicting the holocaust need to be made? Atrocities against races and ethnic groups have been made in every part of the world, and STILL happen everyday. It's just easy to get awards and accolades when you are making a movie about the holocaust. (For obvious reasons)

I have never heard of an anti-fascist militia in Germany. Care to enlighten us about it?
And 95% of nazis were Germans. Doesn't mean all Germans were nazis but nazis did not come from the planet Mars either. Don't rewrite the history books.

"Don't rewrite history books"

how would you know, you've obviously never read any books or even, oh i don't know, even done a google search on the topic. i'm not going to do your research for you, look up the "iron front for resistance against fascism" and the red front fighters league.

i mean really, what are you saying? are you saying the nazis were responisble for the jewish holocaust or are you saying the germans were responsible? does that include the half a million germans who were jewish?

placing blame on a nation instead of political groups is the same kind of backward thinking employed by fascists, grow up.

I think this talk back is more interesting than any of Uwe Boll's movies. But then isn't this what art - good or bad - is supposed to do; get people to debate and get of their asses...
