Christopher Webster [Celluloid 05.02.11] movie trailer cyberpunk short scifi

Those crazy Greenside boys are back with a crazy no-budget cyberpunk yarn called Prism. Seriously, if you thought Sam Gorski and Niko Pueringer showed promise with Zero Trooper-F and Dark Island you should get a load of Prism. Really slick stuff.

Here's the beef:
Set in the year 2032, two young urban explorers break in to a science conference (creatively named Sci-Con) being put on by one of the leading tech companies of their time, Shizuka Inc. Shizuka has a star scientist within their ranks, a certain Dr. Blackwell. He has invented a teleportation device, which he is set to debut to the world at this conference.

Unfortunately for Dr. Blackwell, the two young urban explorers (Vadim and Nessa) have found themselves in the room where the PRISM (personal teleportation device) has just been prepped for the stage. The scientist enters the room, but before he can retrieve the device, the two kids panic, and accidentally trigger the device, beaming them out of the building.

With the ultimate discovery in their hands, Vadim and Nessa are now on the run from the private security forces of Shizuka. Even Dr. Blackwell himself has donned his older prototype teleporter to chase the two kids down. Utilizing energy weapons, futuristic guns, and the PRISM itself, Vadim and Nessa fight to escape with their lives and the PRISM.

Prism will be released on July 2011 so keep an eye out on the Digital Corridor's official Youtube channel.

Check out the Prism trailer after the break.

John, What does that even mean?

This looks good. I'm always down for new Cyberpunk, and I'm surprised at the production values I'm seeing. Look forward to it.

That means you should not imitate Tron2 and Hackers, and you should get better brats, not pottery ones.
Also it means the Angy barrels is great.
If this crap is Cyberpunk, just by holding a glowing tablet pardon teleport, it is a waste of a good 1.10 I invested.

For all the advanced After Effects polish this production company can do it looks awful cheap.

Wow, being a douche towards an ultra low budget short film shot for almost no money and somehow acting like you know everything when you've only seen at most a tenth of the final product.

That's being a very level minded and rational human right there.

So tell me: Does that thorny stick up your ass hurt?

That's just John. All his posts that I've ever seen, are him shitting on whatever is posted. He's never made a single post that he likes something. So, yeah, negative troll is negative.

The point made about the effects versus polish on this is a valid one, though. The effects looked great, but they need to put some old school post work into it to bring the level of overall polish up. I'll still watch it.

You are wrong dude, but who cares.
You can really talk about trolling, as you are leading that race.

Just because something is indie, and low budget does not mean you can't make it awesome.
If there is will there are means.
But being polite, just because something is low budget, and one does not like it, is blah.

This movie looks great with really good visual effects and music. Acting is always tough with low budget but hey its gonna be free on Youtube which is better than like 90% of whats on there. I have an alarm set to remind me to watch it on July 1st, nice going Corridor.
