Nicolas Winding Refn is very quickly becoming my favourite new director and Drive just might be the film that puts that opinion over the edge. If you look at his repertoire it's obvious he's not the kind of filmmaker to get bogged down in one style or tone. Rather, he's one of the most versatile directors around. His Pusher series was hyper-real, Bronson was balls out manic, Valhalla Rising was meditative and symbolic and now Drive looks like something different yet again.

Drive, which originally Neil Marshall was going to direct with Hugh Jackman, caused a stir a Cannes raking in some great reviews and a best director award for Refn so I'm glad to see this trailer finally surface. I think it looks fantastic.

DRIVE is the story of a Hollywood stunt driver by day, a loner by nature who moonlights as a top-notch getaway driver-for-hire in the criminal underworld. He finds himself a target for some of LA's most dangerous men after agreeing to aid the husband of his beautiful neighbor, Irene. When the job goes dangerously awry, the only way he can keep Irene and her son alive is to do what he does best - drive.

Buckle up and go for a drive below!

Drive stars Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, Christina Hendricks, Ron Pearlman and Bryan Cranston.

Been looking forward for this one. Reminds of great 70's car movies like The Driver with Ryan O'Neal.

Looks cool, and I love Refn's work. But I can't figure out why that trailer is "red band."
