Marina Antunes [Celluloid 08.29.11] trailer news thriller drama

Chris is a drug addict who has hit rock bottom. He lives in a dilapidated house in the middle of nowhere with little furniture and nothing more than a few old items to keep him company. He hasn't seen his best friend for a while so when Michael makes a surprise visit to check in on his buddy, Chris is both surprised and relived that he has a bit of company. What he doesn't realize is that Michael has a purpose: to get him sober. In a moment of desperation he handcuffs Chris to the wall and the two start down the ugly road of clean-up.

Now this is friendship.

That's just the beginning of Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead's indie thriller Resolution because a few days into the recovery program, mysterious packages start to arrive at the house. Each one tells a different story and the duo struggle to figure out not only what the packages are getting at but who is leaving them behind. Ghost maybe? Things certainly seem to get a bit strange once the packages start arriving.

Resolution stars Vinny Curran as Chris, the drug addicted lost soul and Peter Cilella as the friend who steps in to help him get clean but I'm guessing most people may recognize Bill Oberst Jr. (if not by name, then by face), a TV and movie regular who has a supporting role here.

No release details are available yet but I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for this one. Looks promising. Kudos to Avery for the heads up.
