A fourth installment to the Starship Troopers franchise is on the way. It is being produced by Joseph Chou (Appleseed Ex Machina) and Edward Neumeier, writer of all previous Starship Troopers films and Robocop as well as ST star Casper Van Dien. The screenplay was written by Flint Dille who wrote Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay video game and much of the G.I. Joe TV series.
Here's the synopsis:
a distant Federation outpost protected by the Starship John A. Warden comes under attack by bugs and the team on Fast Attack Ship Alesia is assigned to help evacuate the survivors and bring military intelligence safely back to Earth. Before the attack ship can rendezvous with the starship, Carl Jenkins, now at the ministry of Paranormal Warfare, takes the starship on a clandestine mission and goes missing in the nebula. The battle-hardened troopers are then charged with a rescue mission that may have much more sinister consequences than they ever could have imagined.
Starship Troopers: Invasion will be released worldwide the summer of 2012.

Should have been wearing his Elite Engineering Suit... Bit of a rip-off but cool transmedia attempt.

Don't you mean the third Starship Trooper's Movie?
(The third movie DID NOT HAPPEN!!!!!)

The SECOND movie is what did'nt happen, what a COMPLETE departure from what Verhoeven began...uuugh! The third movie at least stuck to what came before, although the tone was completly off/cornballish, it can at least be a guilty pleasure for those who loved the Original Film and seeing Rico again was a welcome treat.

I liked the original movie, called "Aliens"

hudsonsirheshicks (9 years ago) Reply
"Aliens" wouldn't exist without ST...3 wasn't up to par with ST, but 2 was a true embaressment to the Franchise...
