Christopher Webster [Celluloid 11.21.11] post apocalyptic news scifi

A trailer has finally appeared for the Roger Corman produced post-apocalyptic movie Water Wars (formerly "Road Raiders"). This is PA exploitation legend Cirio H. Santiago's (Equalizer 2000, Dune Warriors)last film before his death and as such was not completed. Hence the over-use of recycled footage from some of his other films.

Synopsis:
In a world where water is as scarce as humanity, Sexy Woman convinces Cowboy Dude to protect her trib's sacred source of water. One problem, Evil Guy will kill anyone who stands in his way in order to reach the liquid that is worth more than its weight in gold.

Those familiar with Santiago's immense output will notice some hallmarks here including tons of explosions happening all over the place and most of the action taking place in what looks like caves and quarries.

And now, play spot-the-recycled-footage in the trailer below.

Water Wars stars Michael Madsen, Kevin Stapleton, Monica Burkhardt, Athena Lundberg.

No word on release yet.

This manages to make Doomsday look good. Seems to have ticked all the boxes from the classic late 70s early 80s PA films

what is this? whats going on here? So confused. Was this released in the 70's or just shot now? Why is there footage shot many years ago then 5D footage of Michael Madsen shooting?

Explain what the hell this is in your review please.
