Vin Diesel has been lobbying for another Riddick adventure for years and finally, David Twohy and Diesel have their wish. And to kick off the production, Diesel has shared the first image from the production.

David Twohy wrote and will direct the sequel to Chronicles of Riddick, while Battlestar Galactica’s Katee Sackhoff has come on board to play Dahl, a Nordic mercenary tasked with tracking Roddick down. Karl Urban will be back his role as Lord Vaako.

Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.

Riddick's not blind, his vision's augmented

I think Filion is right. He is sensitive to bright light from spending so much time in a dark prison, but he is not blind.

This is one of the few films that I am looking forward to!

Nope, he had his vision augmented by a surgeon in prison.
Sadly they ret-con'ed it in the games, and now he's got the magical power of night vision because he's a Furyan

I am happy to see this. I thought the first film had a lot of potential but was held back by a painfully unfocused plot. Hopefully they will be have a tighter script this time around because there is a lot of promise in this franchise.

I hope this isn't as awful the last one.
