The Mines is the latest short directed and edited by the crazy talented Grzegorz Jonkajtys (The 3rd Letter, The Ark). It was created as a proof of concept for a feature film of the same name currently in development at Platige, Poland's award winning visual effects and animation studio.

In The Mines, a woman trying to find her way out of a long abandoned Polish Uranium mine encounters the strange world that lies within -- and is invited to stay as a permanent guest.

The feature script, written by Stephan Vladimir Bugaj, would follow a party of competing businesspeople sent to buy the mine who get trapped inside, and as members of the group disappear one by one fear and suspicion takes hold of the group. But are the mutants who lurk in the dark depths the real monsters?

The Mines is simple yet effective and includes just enough mystery to keep you guessing.

Platige is currently seeking production and distribution partners, and interested parties may contact producer Ole Wendorff-Ostergaard (ole{at]platige.com).
