Christopher Webster [Celluloid 05.01.13] United Kingdom apocalyptic scifi horror

Welcome to Christmas in London. Unfortunately, for lovesick teenager Jamie and his oppressive parents, it’s also the night of the Apocalypse.

According to writer/director, 22 year old Ted Marcus, his short film, The End, is a true representation of independent filmmaking in the digital age. By raising more than $11,000 dollars through Kickstarter and using Skype, WeTransfer and Google Docs to achieve round-the-clock collaboration, the crew crafted a grand-scale, Hollywood-style production that wouldn't traditionally have been possible.

A trailer for the short film was released a while back, but now the entire short has been released online for your viewing pleasure.

Thanks to faithful QE reader Jesus for the heads up!

Has anyone read "14" by Peter Clines? The creatures in the air in this film are much like what is described in that book.

Moral of the story: Don't drug your parents to get laid, or you'll bring on the fishpocalypse!

I saw this yesterday and thought it was a slow starter. When the flying whales and their minions showed up was pretty cool. Any idea if this is going to be expanded, or a web series? BTW @agentorange ...well said.
