Marina Antunes [Celluloid 05.14.13] drama vampires

I didn't think this would ever happen but turns out my quasi addiction to Tumblr has finally paid off with more than laugh worthy animated gifs and various renditions of the "Game of Thrones" theme. Onward!

With the recent release of Kiss of the Damned (review), Neil Jordan's Byzantium (trailer) which will see release later this year, and Jim Jarmusch's Only Lovers Left Alive, it looks like the vampire is getting a dose of adult crammed down its throat and if the trend continues in the style of Xan Cassavettes' movie, lovers of the vampire drama are in for a serious treat. We've already seen what Jordan has up his sleeve and now we get a glimpse at what Jarmusch has to offer with his Cannes selected title.

Starring Tilda Swinton, Ton Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska, Anton Yelchin and John Hurt, Swinton and Hiddelston star as Adam and Eve, long time vampire lovers whose relationship is thwarted by the arrival of Eve's younger sister Ava (Wasikowska).

We've yet to see a trailer for the movie but a few clips have surfaced offering up a little tidbit of what we can expect.
