Marina Antunes [Celluloid 07.09.13] Spain post apocalyptic thriller

Earlier this year we got a first look at Carriers directors Alex & David Pastor's new Spanish language movie Last Days. Taking place weeks after the world is afflicted by a wide spread bout of agoraphobia, the movie follows Marc as he leaves the confines of life in the underground tunnels of Barcelona in search of his girlfriend who he believes is still holed up in their apartment.

The first trailer played heavily on Marc's story but a new, shorter trailer sidelines the main plot and focuses almost exclusively on the post-apocalyptic world. It's a beautiful and haunting trailer, this one in French, one which offers up some already familiar visuals along with a handful of new ones. It certainly has great tone and only makes me more excited to check out what the Pastor Brothers have in store.

Still no news on American distribution.

I love the visuals, I bet this wont get an American distribution for a while. If it does you'll have to look for it. I found The Horde on Netflix one of the best Zombie films I've seen, A shame it never got a wider play.

That's why we have Quiet Earth. Where we can learn of these gems. I just wish some were easier to find. The Horde was a good cop vs criminal vs zombie. I have a feeling "Last Day's" might be a hard one to get. Which kind of stinks if you're not patient and I'm not. So hurry "Last Day's" come to America.
