Christopher Webster [Cathode Ray Mission 04.28.14] post apocalyptic thriller drama

I've read people arguing whether losing two percent of the population would cause much of a problem for the world. Many seem to think it wouldn't, but if you consider that most people would know someone who vanished, I think there would be much more of a consequence to our very understanding of the world and it could conceivably lead people to alter the way they view their lives.

Therein lies the drama of The Leftovers, Damon Lindelof's new HBO show. And based on this trailer, the show looks pretty amazing.

Synopsis:
Revolves around the Rapture and follows a group of people who are left behind in the suburban community of Mapleton. They must begin to rebuild their lives after the sudden and mysterious disappearance of more than 100 million people.

I love the concept, the cast and Berg but man, Lindelof has left such a bad taste in my mouth I'm cautiously optimistic. I'll definitely give it a few episodes.

He's working closely with author Tom Perrotta I think. But regardless, I hope Lindelof proves his chops to all the naysayers with this.

everything by lindelof is either a copout or being force fed his personal beliefs or ideologies. he screws up everything he touches. while yes, it looks amazing, it will in the long run be hugely dissapointing. what he did to prometheus and other franchises is utterly unforgivable. he should be taken behind a shed and shot (personal opinion)
