The first teaser for Christopher Nolan's Interstellar certainly suggested good things to come but we didn't know much about Nolan's post-Batman movie beyond the fact that it was about space travel. Now the new trailer gives us a few more details about the world in which this space travel is taking place.

Matthew McConaughey stars as a smart man simply trying to keep his family alive in a world that seems to be dying (early on in the trailer there's mention of lack of food). He joins a group of explorers who use a recently discovered wormhole to travel through space to a greater distance than humanity has ever achieved before; I expect in search of another world.

Much like the teaser, this is an undeniably gorgeous trailer – expected for a Nolan movie – but what I'm really excited about is the prospect of awesome space/time travel from a director that has the resources and the technicality to deliver something great.

Interstellar opens November 7, 2014.
