Have you been wondering what happened to Hayden Christensen? No, neither have we but apparently he's been hiding out somewhere, growing up a little and signing up for mediocre looking movies co-starring Nicholas Cage.

Yup, you read right. Hayden Christensen AND Nicholas Cage in a bad movie together. Those two things nullify each other and equal a good movie right? Isn't that how these things work?

From the first trailer for Outcast, that's definitely not the case here and this looks just as mediocre as you might expect from a direct to home video offering. Christensen stars as a "mysterious warrior" who teams up with a 14 year old kid and his sister, children of a deposed Chinese Emperor, as they fight their uncle who is trying to kill them. Cage plays an old army buddy of Christensen's.

Outcast is directed by second unit director and celebrated stunt choreographer Nick Powell so perhaps we can expect to see lots of awesome fight sequences but the trailer features a lot of needless talking and not enough action. Maybe they're saving all the good stuff for the movie? Here's hoping!

Outcast opens February 27, 2015.
