Christopher Webster [Celluloid 10.29.14] New Zealand horror comedy

I missed that this existed until now, but a clip from What We Did in the Shadows has dropped and it's simply hilarious. The film premiered at Sundance earlier this year to great reviews, so I can't wait to check this out.

What We do in the Shadows New Zealand horror/comedy/mockumentary about vampires friends who live together in the town of Wellington. It is directed and written by Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement and is based on a 2006 short film of the same name.

Viago, Deacon, and Vladislav are three vampires living together and trying to cope with modern life; from paying rent, doing housework, and trying to get into nightclubs, they’re perfectly normal – except for their immortality, fangs, and thirst for human blood. When their 8000 year-old housemate, Petyr, turns 20-something Nick into a vampire, the guys must guide him through his newfound eternal life. In return, they are forced to learn a thing or two about modern life.

What We Do in the Shadows hits UK theaters on November 21.
