Christopher Webster [Celluloid 11.28.14] scifi action thriller adventure



May the force be with us all! Disney and Lucasfilm have debuted the first trailer for the highly anticipated next chapter in the Star Wars saga. This marks the first official footage ever from J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Obviously people are going to be dissecting this trailer like crazy over the next few months, but the things that stand out for me most is the inclusion of the crossguard lightsaber from the EU and that is seems we have a stormtrooper as a main character (unless it's a disguise, like in A New Hope, which, honestly, would be a disappointing call back).

Co-writte and directed by J.J. Abrams, the film stars John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will hit theaters on December 18th, 2015.

Gotta say I am psyched! That storm trooper shot at the beginning was a little iffy, but after that it was sick!
Watched it about 10 times in a row.
Love Adam Drivers sith character already!
But how am I gonna get that lightsaber in replica form!!

Looks like it's going to be pretty amazing! The scenes look fantastic!
The whole world will be hyped!
Now the Trailer it's self is not that great actually it's pretty pathetic. They could have created a better trailer, but hey it's StarWars VII who gives a @#$#@!

maybe I am just too jaded... looks OK visually nothing to get into a frenzy over... just hope they don't "Jar Jar the pooch" with this one... ;)

I'm with guido on this one. I'm not impressed with the trailer, or the last three parts of the franchise. BTW I hate the beach ball robot (to cute).
